The state veterinarian and the Board of Public Health have confirmed a horse positive for West Nile Virus in Western Kent County Delaware. The horse was diagnosed on August 6th, euthanized on August 9th and the Board of Health confirmed it was suffering from West Nile virus on August 14th. This horse had not been vaccinated for any of the Encephalitis diseases which includes West Nile virus. If your horses have not been vaccinated please call the office to get an appointment to get your horses vaccinated NOW!
